How to deal with a panic attack

"I was having a panic attack this morning", the woman on the phone shares with me.

What did you do I ask her?

I sat down and felt my feet on the ground. But it did not stop.
So I ran home and got scared. What if it does not go away.

It is great that she sat down when she felt the panic and connected with her feet.

But she thought it would fix it (immediately)
Which it did not, so her mind started to create the idea that it would never be fixed and the panic increased.

It is great to connect through your feet with mother Earth when you feel a overwhelming emotion or fear. Mother Earth will keep you grounded. Support you while you allow what ever is presenting itself to be there. 

As an extra exercise you can connect with your feet chakra's and visualize them to be open and active. So the energy can flow in and out.

The emotion will go away. Probably as sudden and unannounced as it came. For it is an e-motion..an energy movement in your system. Which will come and go. No way of fighting that one. Since it is natural process of our body to keep it balanced and healthy.

So try to stay calm and grounded in the middle of the storm. This too will pass by.
